Welcome to Myth Watches - A small batch, limited release watch company.
Here at Myth Watches we aim to inspire people. We strive to be the bridge between the old and the new, the ancient and the modern. We took three gemstones that exist since the beginning of time and we fused them into a fine, modern, premium watch.
Why Myth Watches?
We believe in a world where everybody is Unique, where people don't try to blend into the crowd but try to stand out, a world where people are proud of being Different and don't try to hide it.
We want the Myth Watch to be an inspiration for these people, a reminder of their True Uniqueness.
In a world where big brands don't try to innovate anymore but keep overcharging for their products, we want to offer a small production of automatic watches that are truly special and actually affordable.

And because we believe a watch should do more than just tell time, all of our watches are inspired by timeless events of the past.
We are proud to launch our very first collection of premium automatic timepieces here on Kickstarter:

Malachite: the mysterious, hypnotising green stone, with black leather strap
Tiger Eye: the strong, fierce brown stone, with black leather strap
What makes these stone truly Unique?
They have been designed by Nature and "Nothing compares to Nature's beauty".
Found in Nature, these stones are all different from each other, nature always draws different pattern and unique shades.
And this is what makes the Myth Watch truly Unique.
There won't be another stone that is exactly like the one you're wearing, just as there won't ever be anyone with the same fingerprints as yours.
We wanted to create a Unique Design without sacrificing Elegance and Style.
For the past year we've been working together with jewellery experts developing our prototype and perfecting our designs.
To ensure a premium quality standard of your timepiece, we partnered directly with some of the world’s leading timepiece manufacturers, who, for decades, have produced luxury watches for high-end brands that retail for over $1000.
We've been personally checking over 30 factories, it has been a job tougher that we could ever expect and it took us months before we found the one that we felt 100% confident with.
They have over 30 years experience and they have helped many other watch's businesses start and grow.
After 4 months of working together, our first prototype came out and we couldn't have been happier with the result!

We could have branded this watch as Luxury considering that we’re using:
Premium Japanese automatic movement
Genuine leather
Anti-scratch, resistant Sapphire glass
The most resistant grade of steel (316L) for the case and the hands, called also surgical steel cause it is used to make surgical instruments.
All our watches come with 3 years warranty
But the truth is that, with the “luxury watches”, you pay the brand more than you pay the watch itself. And in reality you could have the same quality at a third of the price.
Now everything's set up and our manufacturer is ready to start production as soon as the campaign is over!
NO BATTERIES NEEDED, EVER!
Often referred to as “self-winding,” automatic movements harness energy through the natural motion of the wearer’s wrist.
The secret of an automatic movement is a metal weight called a rotor. The rotor is connected to the movement and can rotate freely. With each movement of the wrist, the rotor spins, transferring energy and automatically winding the mainspring.
Watches with automatic movements are very popular because the wearer doesn’t have to worry about winding the watch daily to ensure constant operation.
Did you know that only one every 50 watches has an Automatic heart?
Why is it not common?
Because it's a really complex mechanism, requires a lot of labor work and it's mostly used only for luxury watches.
DISCLAIMER: Our #001 Lapis Lazuli Myth Watch is running on Miyota 9029.
The final product will be running on Miyota 90S5, that has the exact same characteristics but with the addition of a Second Hand, that will add an extra pleasant touch to the look of the Myth Watch.
But that's not even the half of it!
We strongly believe a watch should do more than just tell time and the only way to make truly unique timepieces is to give them meaning and history.
The link between humans and the 3 stones we use stretches back more than 6,500 years. These gems were treasured by the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome. They valued them for their vivid, exquisite colours, and used them for jewelry, decorative purposes and much more...
On the back of every watch, you'll find engraved the main qualities of the chosen stone.

We are beginners on Kickstarter, but we and our manufacturing partners have years of experience in the industry! We are aware our project is complex and that there are always unforeseen issues, but we have anticipated and planned for potential risks and have built a rock-solid production and delivery plan.
We understand that obstacles come with every project. In the event that we do experience production delays we are fully prepared to keep you updated every step of the way.
Shipping - Shipping is one of the largest challenges with any project like this because it's one of the only aspects that we don't directly control.
